Panagiotis Koilakos

Associate Operational Data Management Officer, UNHCR

BSc in Informatics (Computer Science)

In general

I joined AUEB in late 2014, and for personal reasons, I could not attend the first year of studies. After the first year of studies, I made a life-changing decision to join the rescue efforts in Lesvos island during the peak of the Refugee situation in Greece. Following that, I joined UNHCR and decided to dedicate myself to my work, setting aside once more my studies. Finally, during my fourth year of studies, I decided to start chipping out module after module to graduate. I finally graduated 4 years after starting studying (and double that from the date that I enrolled to the university) with an average of 7/10.
